I don't really like having multiple clients, but I rarely use anything other than Steam so I don't really care. Long story short, I'm in the minority that doesn't care so much where a game is located, so long as I can play it without any hassle. If I had not purchased it on Ubisoft and was once again given the choice, I'd still choose Ubisoft to avoid the whole 'Steam requiring Ubisoft anyways.' I also play PlayStation every so often and prefer to buy certain games through that over Steam. If a game is on Steam but has third party requirements, I'd just rather go through the third party to avoid unnecessary complications. I prefer to buy things on Steam, but if it's not available on Steam then I will buy it elsewhere. then steam discontinued anno1800, now it came back and also the possibilities to buy the dlc, after i saw the prices which are more then in ubi, i tried to buy it in ubi and yeah, it worked.

so i bought it here because i buy everything here. The thing is, i had the game already when it was first released on steam. They'll be on sale more frequently since it's the native client and been out longer on the store. If you're going to download and make an account through Ubisoft Connect just to buy the DLC, you might as well get the game too. What's the sense? Buying the game through Steam makes you need Ubisoft Connect anyways. it doesnt show you the dlcs in your libary but its working and you have it and saved half the money Not trying to start anything as I am genuinely curious, but. buy them at ubistore and activate them ingame, it works.
